The artist for the North American edition came up through Marvel Comics in the UK. Kev Hopgood joined Zoids magazine straight out of art school.
His favourite character to draw is War Machine who he co-created while working on Iron Man.
He’s currently drawing a war story for Commando Comics which has led him to research Spanish artists who have worked for them in the past.
He enjoys bringing the past to life and he was able to help tell the wartime story of One Year One Night which was based on a true tale from WW2.
One of the strongest images in the adult fiction novel shows wartime destruction – and Kev used his skill to show Annie the heroine going back to her diary as an older woman.

He draws inspiration from all over the place including favourite movies, other comics and graphic novels.
He managed to break into the American market when he met the editor of Iron Man at a comics convention in London. His agent Beehive Illustration secured the deal to draw for Red Chair Press who is publishing One Year One Night by SL Roman.
One Year One Night can be bought in the U.S.
