The award-winning young adult novel is getting top reviews online.

Recent acclaim for the first publication by SL Roman praised the heart-wrenching tale.

Reviewer Nancy Bansal described on OnlineBookClub.Org how the story of an evacuated boy ‘gave my heart a roller coaster ride of emotions’.

She described the fiction as ‘charming, funny, interesting,exciting and emotional. It will evoke the sensation of reliving your teenage years and savouring every moment of your life once more’.

Another reviewer from the same website likes the ‘gripping’ novel. Maliha Naveed also alludes to the writers’ heart-wrenching ‘ability to evoke simultaneous feelings of amusement’.

And One Year One Night which will be published in North America and around the world in 2 weeks has also been featured in a UK Booksellers Catalogue aimed at the young adult reader. It’s being published by Red Chair Press on August 6.

The British pair behind SL Roman have been friends for 30 years. Sarah Onions and Laura Meloni Bywaters live in Kingston in South West London and are working on a sequel to One Year One Night which is the tale of an unlucky evacuee set in WW2.
